Chairman Fryou opened the February, 2011 meeting with a roll call.  Mr. Fryou, Mr. Veal, Mr. Arthur, Mr. McAllister, Mr. Verret, Mr. Minor and Mr. Mayon were in attendance.

 

Chairman Fryou asked the members for a motion to accept the January 2011 minutes.  Mr. Arthur made a motion to accept the minutes as written.  Mr. Minor seconded the motion.  All members were in favor and the motion carried.

 

Chairman Fryou suggested that the meeting begin with the new business.  He introduced Mr. Richard Gaines and Mr. Carl Barnes, sales representatives from Intrado, to demonstrate a 911 target notification system.  This system could be beneficial to the parish. After the demonstration and a short question and answer period, Chairman Fryou thanked the gentlemen for the presentation.

 

The income statement for January 2011 totaled $66,620.32. Mr. Arthur made a motion to accept the income statement.  Mr. Minor seconded the motion.  All members were in favor and the motion carried. Expenses for the month of January 2011 totaled $44,722.20.  Mr. Mayon made a motion to accept the expense statements.  Mr. Arthur seconded the motion.  All members were in favor and the motion carried. 

 

Old Business: none

 

Director Updates:  Berwick Fire Dept. should be dispatched through the 911 center in approximately three weeks.

Public Comment:  none

 

Adjournment:  Mr. Arthur made a motion to adjourn.  Mr. Veal seconded the motion.  All members were in favor and the motion carried.
